Santanu Basu
Head: SME
Santanu Basu, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, is the Head - SME at Aditya Birla Finance Ltd. He has been with the company for more than 12 years and is managing portfolios such as Mortgage Finance encompassing LAP (Loans Against Property), LRD (Lease Rental Discounting), Commercial property purchase finance in SME as well as institutional segments and Construction Finance.
Before joining ABFL, he was with Standard Chartered Bank where, in about 9 years, he grew through the ranks to Channel Head – Alternate Business (Mortgages) and handled various responsibilities such as Regional Head (Mortgages) & Zonal Head (Mortgages). Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, he has had stints with ICICI, HFC and Eureka Forbes.
Santanu holds a Masters of Business Administration (Finance and Marketing) degree from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and a Bachelor of Commerce from MS University.
